Preston Dixon

Pastor Preston Dixon was born December 26, 1952, in Darlington County to Eddie and Ramona Dixon. He was the fourth of five children. On June 22, 2023, Pastor Preston Dixon transitioned to his eternal home. Pastor Preston Dixon was a graduate of Timmonsville High School in Timmonsville, South Carolina. He was baptized in Jesus Name in 1969 and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1971. Pastor Preston Dixon married Patricia K. Dixon, as he affectionately called “The Boss”, November 28, 1991. Pastor Preston Dixon was an employee of Oxford Drapery, Jones Wrecking, Vulcraft and Stack Components. He worked with PDRTA until he retired in 2015. His past services to the church included Lead guitarists, Youth People’s Choir Member, a member of the Voices of Zion, former Church Program Committee Chairman, Music Director, Sound Technician and Songwriter. His Leadership extended further than South Carolina. In 1991 he was called into the Ministry, giving his initial Sermon in December of that year. He received ministerial training from Golden Gate Christian Academy of Timmonsville, South Carolina. Pastor Preston Dixon was called to pastor 2013, He served faithfully in the capacity of Perfective Praise Holiness Church, he ministered to the spiritual and physical needs of the saints and the community. A great man of Faith who not only spoke it, but he also Lived it. He was preceded in death by His parents Eddie and Ramona Dixon, Grandparents Johnnie and Leatha Nettles, and Preston and Addie Dixon, Sister Claretha Rush and Brother John Dixon. Pastor Preston Dixon leaves to cherish his memory; his loving Wife, Sister Patricia Dixon; daughter, Jamecia Pendergrass; son Johnathan Greene; sister Denise Shannon of Georgia; four grandchildren, Dashaun Dixon, Jaquan Dixon, Braylen Pendergrass and Ethan Pendergrass; a great granddaughter, Nadia Dixon; brother-in- law, Deacon Raleigh Rush; a sister-in law, Pastor Patricia Dixon; a brother Bishop Ray “Keitha” Johnson, Scranton PA; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, church family; and an adopted goddaughter, Brandin Hudson.
