Ms. Inetta James Samuel

Ms. Inetta James Samuel, 68, of Florence, South Carolina, who departed this life on March 19, 2026, after a period of illness at McLeod Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Born in Florence, South Carolina, Inetta was the daughter of the late Mr. Harding James, Sr. and Mrs. Williard James. She lived a life defined by faith and a genuine love for people. She was educated in Florence County, where she excelled academically; in fact, she graduated from West Florence High School a year early. She later attended Francis Marion College (now University) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Inetta embodied a “go-getter” spirit and valued the importance of earning her own way. Throughout her life, she held various positions, but she truly perfected her God-given talent as a superb seamstress and tailor. She could complete even the most difficult alterations in no time and with great ease. Inetta was widely known for her skill and was often sought after by businesses and individuals throughout the Pee Dee area and beyond. She was last employed with Suit World. Inetta lived her life by the verse Matthew 17:20, “He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." NIV In the face of what often seemed impossible to others, Inetta defied all odds. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Turkesha (Solomon III) Eaddy of Florence, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Brandon Robert Samuel of Timmonsville, South Carolina, and Bria Avonna Samuel of Columbia, South Carolina; one great-grandchild, Lauryn Raine Williams of Columbia, South Carolina; and her siblings, Wilhelmina Davis of Florence, South Carolina, Harding (Geraldine) James, Jr. of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Marshall (Michelle) James of Florence, South Carolina, Patricia (Alvin) Larke of Beech Island, South Carolina, and Emily James of Durham, North Carolina. She is also survived by her aunt, Mildred Williams of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and friends.
