Robert Bud Hollomon

Robert Hollomon affectionately known as “Bud” was born on December 13, 1936 to the late Matthew and Earline Green Hollomon. He was called home on February 4, 2021. Bud was the third child of sixteen children. He was reared in Darlington County. Bud was well known and loved by everyone through out the community. Wherever he went he made his presence known. He enjoyed having a good conversation. Bud loved his church and church family. He joined The House of God Keith Dominion in 1992 under the leadership of Elder Eaton Wells. He remained a faithful member for 29 years until his death. He was a member of the Trustee Board and held several positions in the church. He loved to sing and give his God praise. Uncle Bud as he was known to his nieces and nephews was the life of our family gatherings. They could not wait to see Uncle Bud get on the dance floor and pull them along with him. He loved dancing with his sisters and nieces. Bud lived in the home with his sister Phyllis and brother-in-law Woodrow. They diligently cared for him, making sure he had everything he needed. He was preceded in death by seven siblings: Ebraska, Otis J, Otis, Willie B, Leroy, Willie, Freddie, Gladys, and Janie. He leaves to cherish his memories :five sisters, Phyllis (Woodrow) Martin of the home Timmonsville, SC, Lizzie Humbert of Florence, SC, Mattie Thomas of Durham, NC, Frances Bruce of Florence, SC and Ollie Gallishaw of Hartsville, SC; two brothers, Walter George of Lamar, SC and Sammie Lee Pearson of Durham, NC; an adopted niece Nava Gore; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
